I do not understand why I would be alergic to a miniature schnauzer puppy when I had one as a child and previously as an adult. I have bathed the dog several times, but after being around it for just a few minutes, my throat gets sore, and feels clogged up, and it is difficult to swallow. Does anyone know why I would be allergic to a puppy or this breed when I previously had no problem?

When i move to Montana, my parents said that they will get me a Doberman Pinscher. (We are also adopting a shelter dog)
I have done alot of research on this breed, they are my favorite! I love them sooo much!

oh sorry.
we will have other dogs, cats, (so im getting a pup to socialize) and farm animals, like a horse. we will have tons of toys, i am going to train for a few hours everyday, a few walks everyday, and the way our schedual works, he and the other dogs will only be alone for about 2-4 hours a day.
so he wont get bored.
and i have trained lots of aggressive, shy, and high strung dogs. =D
i know what im doing. =]

I just recently convinced my parents to get a third dog. We were at a petsmart and a rescue group was there and we found a Great Dane that we loved. We drove home told my dad and after a great deal of convincing he said yes. By the time we got back to the store the pretty boy was already adopted. My parents have agreed that I can get another dog anyways, but my mom read that Great Danes eat a great deal of furniture. I was wondering if this was true with a lot of this breed, and i was also wondering if they were mostly good with other smaller dogs. I curently have two 3 year old mutts (Springer spaniel/lab mix), and i love them to death, so i figured why not add to the fun and give a furry friend a home. I'm looking to hunt rabbits, and will be looking into purchasing a beagle. Not only a beagle, but a beagle puppy. I want my beagle to be breed for hunting rabbits. I may even enter my beagle in a few field trial competitions when its ready. Well anyway, I live in Charles Town, West Virginia, it is in the eastern panhandle. We recently lost our Airedale, Piper, to cancer. We would like to get another dog soon. We are open to adopting a shelter dog, or getting a purebreed. We have 3 sons, ages, 6, 4, and 8 mos. I have a pure-breed chocolate lab that is a year old. What is a good and inexpensive way to train him to fetch ducks? He knows how to play fetch and follow directions. I understand that there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog however, can anyone tell me some breeds that are less likely to trigger allergy attacks? I have asthma and am allergic to dog dander so I am wondering if there is a dog for me. Besides being allergy friendly, the dog should get along with cats. Is there any breed that will work?
