The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a herding dog breed, began om PembrokeshireWales. there are two breeds known as Welsh Corgi: and the second is the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is the younger of the two Corgi breeds and a separate breed from the Cardigan. The corgi is small as compared to the rest of the breeds in the herding group. Pembroke Welsh Corgis have a royal reputation since Queen Elizabeth has owned more than 30 of them. These Monarchy has had this breed for more than 70 years.

 

Temperament  

Because this breed’s natural instinct is to herd its cattle or sheep by nipping at their heels, they tend to do this to people. This should be discouraged at an early age. They have a great desire to please their owners, this makes them easier for them to learn and train.

 

  • It is an affectionate, loyal, and independent
  • Requires regular brushing
  • Requires regular to gentle exercise
  • Ideal for apartment living, however requires lots of exercise.
  • Very Good Watchdog

Weight :24-28 lb (11-13 kg)

 

Buyer Beware!

This breed sheds heavily.

Because of its long back, it tends to have back problems such as slipped disks
