I do not understand why I would be alergic to a miniature schnauzer puppy when I had one as a child and previously as an adult. I have bathed the dog several times, but after being around it for just a few minutes, my throat gets sore, and feels clogged up, and it is difficult to swallow. Does anyone know why I would be allergic to a puppy or this breed when I previously had no problem?

I have a 7 month old Great Dane mix pup, who demolishes every toy I get...she literally chews thru the hardest plastic toys, and can obliterate a rawhide in a matter of hours. Does anyone have any ideas what I can get for her to chew on and play with, that might last??
Thanks for all the advice....real bones scare me a little, so I want to avoid them. Nylabones (big ones) get chewed up pretty easily, when she concentrates on one. The person that said crate training, mischevious adolesence and separation anxiety? OMG...you know my dog!! (and she is crate trained.....hopefully tho, one day I'll be able to not have her crated??)

My 5 year old Golden Retriever has a pink nose. When we got him his nose was fully black, not a speck of pink. A couple of years later, his nose started to become PINK! And it hasn't changed since. And I don't know why!

My American Bulldog pup is growing up fast and I have been researching when the best time to neuter him would be. My vet recommends 4 months but that seems so young. I have read the arguments between early neutering and late neutering and I am confused and torn about what to do. I was thinking about getting him neutered around 6-8 months instead...I just want to see some other opinions on when the best time to neuter a dog is.

I ask myself why does it take this long. Does anyone know? Do they put the dogs in crates and just let them sit there while they do other dogs? My boston terrier is 17.6 lbs and has short fur.

Hello You Guys ... Happy Saturday ~ Heres a little extra video I wanted to share with you this month. It took me two hours from start to finish to make Georgie's sweater. The Crochet Hook is a US size K, ( 6.5 mm). My mother has always loved to crochet, especially in winter. She always told me as long as you can learn to crochet a braid or chain ( I'm not even sure what the correct word is))))he'he'he))) you can crochet anything you want, & its so true. When i move to Montana, my parents said that they will get me a Doberman Pinscher. (We are also adopting a shelter dog)

oh sorry.
we will have other dogs, cats, (so im getting a pup to socialize) and farm animals, like a horse. we will have tons of toys, i am going to train for a few hours everyday, a few walks everyday, and the way our schedual works, he and the other dogs will only be alone for about 2-4 hours a day.
so he wont get bored.
and i have trained lots of aggressive, shy, and high strung dogs. =D
i know what im doing. =]

Wprovide Contributes to SPCLA, Kids In The Kitchen, Olive Crest and FoLAR in 2012

Their largest contribution was made in 2010 when Wpromote ran a social media campaign to support the CureJM Foundation’s fight for votes in the Pepsi Refresh Project. Their promotion was a success and led to CureJM winning a 0k grant to help find the cure for Juvenille Myositis, which is a rare autoimmune disease. Over the years, Wpromote employees have donated their time and helped raise thousands of dollars for numerous organizations including Heal the Bay, Kiva, Operation Gratitude, Movember, and Partners in Health.

Last July Wpromote created their charitable initiative called Wprovide, with the mantra “Giving Chances Making Changes.” Wprovide’s mission is to host or partake in a philanthropic event each month. Only a few months into the year, and they are off to a very strong start.

"We have a lot of fun working at Wpromote and it's nice to know that we are working for a company that values giving back to the community," said Holly Boll, Wprovide member and Wpromote PPC Account Development Executive.

In January and February, Wprovide focused their efforts on helping the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Los Angeles. The SPCALA is an independent, nonprofit animal welfare organization in Southern California, whose mission is to prevent the cruelty of animals through education, law enforcement, intervention, and advocacy. A donation drive was held at the Wpromote office, which raised 0 and received donations of beds and supplies for dogs, cats, and animal shelters. In February, Wpromote also encouraged their employees to click the “Like” button on the Kashi REAL Project Facebook page. For each “Like,” Kashi donated to the Kids in the Kitchen project, which is an initiative with the goal to empower todays youth to make healthy lifestyle choices to reduce childhood obesity and associated health problems.

In March, Wpromote began raising awareness about the importance of protecting our environment. Visual aids were posted above the recycling bins in both kitchens to encourage recycling and emphasize what is and is not recyclable. Over the past couple of months, this has helped decrease waste and increase recycling.

April was very busy for Wprovide, with two charitable events for the month. On Tuesday, April 3rd, employees had the opportunity to assist in assembling Easter baskets to donate to Olive Crest for underprivileged children. Olive Crest is dedicated to educating at-risk children, preventing child abuse, and preserving families. The toys, candy, gift cards, and baskets were donated by Wpromote, which brought joy to 15 children on Easter Sunday. On Saturday, April 28th, Wpromote employees participated in cleaning up the LA river with FoLAR (Friends of the Los Angeles River), whose mission is to restore the river’s natural habitat and improve water quality. They spent a couple of hours cleaning up the river and reducing pollution to keep it from eventually reaching our beaches.

Towards the end of April, Wpromote began their first annual Spring Cleaning Clothing Drive, which will continue through June. All materials donated will be given to the El Segundo Good Will. There has already been a great response to the drive and there is still more than a month to continue collecting donations.
