How Much Does a Siberian Husky Weight?

by Dogs.net on November 7, 2011

How much - on average - does a Siberian Husky weight. Because my 18 month old weights around 45-50 pounds, she is fairly skinny, but she eats. I know that dogs are not supposed to be fat, but I am worried that she isn't eating enough we feed her 2 times a day, and give her treats probably 2-3 times a week. We walk her daily and bring her to the beach for runs 2-3 times a week, sometimes more.

Thanks.
Forgot to mention she is purebred.

According to the ACK, a Siberian Husky should weigh between 35-50 lbs. So your dog, being full grown, is a good size. Males will be larger than females. If your dog is free of parasites, acting healthy, and eating the suggested amount of food, then she’s probably healthy. It sounds like you take good care of her and keep in mind muscle weighs about 2x as much as fat. So if you’re taking her for long runs, then she’s probably in good shape. It’s better to be lean than fat! :)

Now if your Husky is a mix, then all bets are off.

Hello,
Seems to me that you take very good care of your Siberian Husky, and that is a good weight for a female purebred. You feed her just enough, not to much not to little, and give her enough exercise, from what I can tell it seems like she should be very healthy.

Hope I helped.
