Hey Everyone,
Okay I'm buying a new house soon - 5 months - & when I do I'm going to buy a Toy Poodle. My partner is also going to get a dog but his not sure what breed he wants All he know is he wants a larger dog like an Akita. So any suggestions on larger dogs that would good to have with the Toy Poodle? We'll get them @ the same time so they can grow up together etc.
Thanks Guys.

I have Min, Schnauzers and 2 Akita’s
Akita’s do great with small to medium dogs, they get along great with them.
good luck
i think i akita shall be fine.
as long as they are raised together they should get a long fine.
in our puppy class snoopy(huge german sheperd) and bella(min chihuahua…she could sit in you hand)loved eachother.they couldnt be sperated.
s they should be fine.
good luck!
and congrats on the house and dogs!
a beagle they make great campanion dogs for both you and the poodle
hi, well 1st congratulations on the new house. poodles are the most intelligent of all the dog breeds. they like to keep busy. therefore i suggest you look for another intelligent breed (not too boisterous) a retriever type is large and not aggressive, but can be boisterous. then again whatever you have trainings a must. but really you may want to start with one and get another later. what about a standard poodle? you got all the same qualities but in the larger package. no lecturing but try to ensure you buy from reputable breeders. whatever you decide, hope you have a long and wonderful relationship with them.
i think akita or maybe another toy poodle, and a labrador i had one with my toy poodle
Hello, I don’t know what city you live in, but my friend has a Toy Poodle & I have a PR American Red Nose Pit. The pit just had puppies & the poodle is due today, so any time now. My pit’s are papered w/ shots. They come from a nice natured family, they are pure bread. If raised together they would get along perfect. E-mail me back if interested, thank you….Cat
a small calm dog like a shit-su would be good. Or maybe a gentle giant that they can have to protect them. Somtimes big dogs are the best companions for small dogs.
