science diet puppy growth. small bites.
Do an internet search for “raw dog diet”. There are some good processed food diets out there but they cost as much as human food.
Fresh chicken and turkey and beef. Fresh raw vegetables and fruits. Fresh brown rice and oatmeal. Fresh yogurt, eggs, and cottage cheese, these arnt people foods either..they are fresh food that any puppy can eat including your schnauzer.
Talk to your vet. Mini Schnauzers are prone to digestive problems, so your vet may recommend keeping him on a lower-fat food than you might feed another breed.

Royal Canin dog foods, petsmart carries it, have breed specific food, each breed of dog can have certain health issues….dry skin, oily skin, vitamin deficiencies etc. Get the Royal Canin Schnauzer puppy formula in the dry. Dry is better for healthy teeth. Now would be a good time to find a vet, call and ask a number of vets this question and see what they all say and at the same time you are finding a good dr and staff you will feel comfortable dealing with if and when an emergency arrises.
Just get Purina…it’s a reliable company that you know will not have any problems w/ poison, etc. Raw food isn’t very great, actually. Domesticated dogs cannot digest it as well as dry chow. (GO PURINA!) Our dog was part mini schauzer, part something else, and he lived to 16 on Purina.
i have a minature schnauzer, 9 years old. purina 1 is the only good food out there not poisoned. my dog loves it.
