if i clipped my miniature schnauzer 2 months puppy, is it possible for its coat to have a show quality if stripped at 3months after clipping?

I bred Miniature Schnauzers for 20 years and showed them for 5. I found some lines could be clipped and then regrow a show coat and some couldn’t. It’s taking a chance if you aren’t sure about the coat in the line your puppy comes from. I found the salt and pepper lines were more erratic as to coat than the black or the black and silvers. My black and silvers could be clipped and then grow a show coat, but the salt and peppers weren’t reliable.
You can scissor the coat, but why would you want to? Keep the puppy brushed out well in order to encourage a good coat, and hope the line your puppy comes from will produce a good quality coat. Not all of them do.
Hope you know how to hand strip the coat, which you need to do in order to show.
