I'm about to buy either a golden or labrador retriever. I had a golden retriever once before and it was the best dog I've ever had (and I've had A LOT of dogs). But I'm considering a yellow or chocolate lab too. Does anyone have any name ideas because I can hardly come up with anything?

Depends what gender it is.
I’ve always loved the name Zoey for a black female lab:)
Just don’t name it “Cody” or “Maggie”or “Hershey” or “Bear” or “Hunter” or “Storm” – I used to work at a gundog training kennel and 50% of the Labs were named one of those. If you are buying from a reputable breeder, the litter may have a letter or a theme that could help you out – a “Star Wars” themed litter might give you a “Luke” or a “Wookie” and an “A” litter might give you an “Ace” or an “Annie.”
