Get to the vet to find out. You should have your dog get an emergency spay if she is. Labs are the most overbred dogs in the U.S. This means that lots of purebred labs end up in shelters where they may or may not end up getting adopted, but most and I do say most end up being put down within 3-7 days after entering the shelter.
In a nearby animal control, they won’t even hold a black lab. It gets put down immediately because black is the least popular color of lab and most won’t be adopted. They can’t afford to feed and house the dog for 3 days and then put it down, so they just put it down immediately.
Was she in heat? Did she tie? Almost all ties end in pregnancy. Pregnant dogs start to “show” at about 6+ wks. You can feel movement at 7+wks. You can see strong movements and kicks when they are over 8wks, and they deliver at 9wks.
Labs are over populated. If you want her to carry to term, please start lining up homes early. They are very hard to place.
Most labs give birth easily with no problems. Do feed her well and keep her wormed. Labs have large litters, sometimes over 10 puppies, so please start lining up good homes if you wish to have these puppies carried to term. My brother in law breeds AKC labs, and sometimes cannot even give them away because they are so overpopulated in this area.
Good luck with your dog.
