I really like dogs and that i were built with a rottweiler, but we needed to put her to rest. I wish to obtain a Mastiff, I've been searching online to ascertain if I possibly could save one or maybe I possibly could purchase one, however i am getting challenge with that. If anybody has or knows anybody which has Great Danes please tell me. I want one because the house now feels empty without having my dog.

I would always go the rescue route becuase there are too many that needs homes. Try petfinder.com. You can search for dogs available for adoption by breed, state, age, sex, etc. I love searching that site!
I always see a lot of Great Danes on http://www.petfinder.com
People get them without realizing how BIG they really get, or can’t afford to take care of them so there are a lot that need a new home. Keep looking. You might also go to a Great Dane sight, they often have dogs listed that have been rescued and need a forever home.
you can go to 1-800-Save A Pet.com and get all the info you need to get the Great Dane you want.
Where are you located? I know here in Virginia they have a Great Dane Rescue and I’m sure wherever you are if you look hard enough you will find one. I’ve even see pure bred great danes at the pound!

Great Dane rescue society. Google it. Should be one in your state. I have worked with rescue societies…they really work with you. They are usually extremely helpful. Bet you will find one…and you are gonna love it!
Before even considering a Great Dane do lots & lots of research. They are wonderful dogs but not for everyone.
Go to the Great Dane Club of America site http://gdca.org it has a lot of valuable info. Also join some of the Dane groups, attend some shows and see the Danes there, meet some Dane people.
Don’t be in a rush to get one.
As for getting one on line..DON’T!!
Seek out a reputable rescue (there are several very good Dane rescues) or a responsible breeder..great care needs to be taken when buying a Dane..there are many irresponsible Dane breeders out there..an unhealthy Dane is a major expense and one with an ill temper is a very dangerous nightmare.

Yes, please check rescues and shelters. We’ve fostered Danes since I was a kid and I do it now. There are lots of them in needs of homes. People get them and then realize they aren’t big dogs, they are giant dogs and give them up. They aren’t for everyone, and experience in giant breed dogs helps, but they are wonderful. Do some reading to make sure this is what you want and look into rescue. There are soooo many who need homes.
