Does My Golden Retriever Loses Apettite When She Is on Heat?

My Golden Retriever is lately on heat for the 1st time, she usually has a great appetite but now she would hardly eat and loss a lot of
weight..? Is it Normal?

She may be distracted, but a noticeable weightloss would be unusual.

She may be feeling a little queasy as this is her first heat and because she is a maiden b*tch is wondering what is going on inside her. She may not feel much like eating right now but you could try tempting her with a nice piece of cooked chicken. There’s nothing like being spoiled a little when you are feeling under the weather.

I must admit I have never had this sort of behaviour from my females when they are on heat. Nothing seems to put them off eating!

If she doesn’t pick up by tomorrow I think a visit to the Vet might be in order to see if there is an underlying cause for her loss of appetite but I’m sure she’ll pick up and get her appetite back soon. She is feeling very hormonal at the moment
