It is about the size of a walnut and feels quite firm. She is 7 years old.

Has she recently had a shot? Our dogs get them and it stays for a month or so everytime one of them gets a shot.

If not, I would go to the vet and have him feel it, and possibly biopsy it. Only a vet will be able to tell you for sure.

this could be bugs or cancer take the dog to a vet right away. no matter what it is (if it is cancer) if its not sprear to the bone they can cut it out and he’ll be fine

Could be a tumor at a location where an innoculation was given. This does happen occasionally. Or a mast cell tumor. Or a dozen other types of tumors.

Get a fine needle biopsy — about $50 at the vets to be sure and get a course of treatment. While many lumps are benign, I don’t like the location of this one.

Yes, it is from the shots. Same thing happened with my GSP last year. Keep an eye on it, but don’t worry too much. Call the vet if it seems to be getting worse.
