My JRT sheds sooooooo much. I looked up why and it said that it was just in the breed as to why they shed so much. My family wants another dog and are looking in to the German Shorthaired Pointer but my dad does not want another shedder haha. I do understand that all dogs shed but I'm just asking if they shed excessively as JRTs.

No they dont but shitzu’s dont shed very much at all so you may want to look into them.
German Shorthaired Pointers do not shed a lot. Nowhere near as much as Russell Terriers. GSPs shed, but not too much.
