Is there anything to give my French Bulldog to combat his gas problem. And if you have a French Bulldog, what kind of food do you feed him or her. We feed ours Blue Buffalo, and before that ukanuba.

Our pup had that (she’s a boxer though) and we switched her to a higher protein food, Orijen. She is much less gassy now.
If you’re giving your dog any extra treats like pig ears those can cause bad gas. The dog food may also be what’s causing the gas, or if your dog got into anything that he/she wasn’t supposed to. Dogs have gas, so if you don’t like it switch foods or don’t own a dog. What’s funny is they don’t even know they have gas where we are stuck with the gross smell they don’t even know is theirs.
It is probably the food. Some food is just going to agree with your dog. Usually if your dog is having some sensitivity to food/gas/skin then the best thing you can do is put your dog on California Natural. http://www.naturapet.com use the store locator to find out where to buy it. Chances are they sell it at a pet boutique near you. Natura also makes Innova, Innova EVo and California Natural.
You can’t get a better food for a dog with sensitivity your dog will love it.
Good switch from Eukanuba to Blue Buffalo, but your local pet store will have free packets of food samples that you could try. It is most likely the food. There is a French Bulldog that trains at the same place I take my Chihuahua, and he is fed frozen food (Nature’s Variety), and has not only lost his excess weight, but become more energetic and less stinky!
haha i had this prob charcoal tablets is the answer
ha ha ha ha LOL LOL I’m sorry This is funny, I dont have a bull dog but my friend has a doberman, and he stinks, Good Lord does he ever smell, I dont know what to do and neither does she, Talk to your vet maybe he has some suggestions, My friend to Harley to the vet and they put him on a bland boiled chicken and rice, food, but it doesn’t help he still toots and they are loud and smelly, Its funny though,
And I a have Poms, they use to have gas, I put them on Royal Canin dog food for Picky eaters and sensitive tummy’s and they toot no more, … might try that maybe it will work
Bulldogs and boxers share a common physical feature; a shorter colon which produces more gas build-up. My boxers were pee-u stinky! Try switching to a higher grade (human grade) food. That will help.
I bought this for my dog who has a gas problem

HomeoPet® Digestive Upsets
I haven’t tried it yet though.
I have also heard about a gland that can be removed to prevent this.
i work for a vet who is also my brother in law, he breeds english and frenchies. they have horrible gas and he gives them yogurt. it does help and he feeds his dogs WELLNESS dog food. its good for their skin. these dogs are prone to have horrible skin problems and WELLNESS does help a lot with that problem
Make sure she’s on a good food low in grains. My dog gets horrible gas if we give her cheap dog treats. RadiantPet.com has great treats that are easy on the tummy. Also, Merrick has healthy treats.
Feed smaller amounts more often.
Any commercial food has the potential to cause gas, due to pockets of air getting trapped when dry food expands.
Try a meat diet, rather than kibble.
